Pop singer Robbie Williams confirmed during an interview with NME that Tony Iommi and Glenn Hughes will be featured on a song from his new album.

The track is titled “Rocket” and will accompany the film Better Man , in which he is portrayed as an anthropomorphic ape, with his own eyes completing the effect. The film premieres on February 6th.

Take That member said during the interview that he aimed for a different sound than the one he is known for.

Asked to confirm Iommi's involvement, Williams did so and added: “And Glenn Hughes! I wanted to make the album I would make if I had left Take That now, knowing what I know. This particular song encapsulates that perfectly.”

He admitted that, “[unfortunately] and fortunately… pop songs also came along the way. I was like, ‘Oh, shit – a hit!’” and revealed that “Rocket” is his favorite track from the album.

Liam and Noel Gallagher in the movie?

Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher are portrayed in his biopic, which addresses the Britpop era and the conflicts between some of the artists of that time .

“I think there will be a bit of [Liam] who is happy that he exists,” Williams said. “There’s nothing there that isn’t 100% factual! That’s how he behaved!”

“The people we were are different people from who we are now. I see Liam and I love his interviews, and I love the person he’s becoming. He’s kind now, introspective, and still wonderfully funny – but the rough edges have been smoothed out. Same with me: the rough edges have been smoothed out.”

"So, in the film, he's a representation of who he was at that time, and I'm a representation of who I was at that time. I don't want him to be upset. I hope he likes it. The guy who plays Noel only has one line, but that line is so unbelievably Noel, it's amazing: 'Fuck off, you faggot!'"
