In an interview with the Express website, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi spoke about the band's last show, which took place in Birmingham in February. Iommi recalled the emotion of playing at the event:

“The atmosphere was strange. You kept thinking, ‘This might be the last time I play this song.’ And looking at the audience, you saw people from all over the world. It was very sad because people were crying. You thought, ‘Wow,’ you realize what you mean to all these people. It was very emotional.”.

Asked if this really was the end of Sabbath, the guitarist replied: “Who knows. We might do a show or two. There’s nothing planned (…) I don’t know. Nobody’s talked about it. I think everyone wants to do their own thing at the moment. Ozzy will surely tour with his band until God knows when. If there’s anything, it won’t be in the near future.”

Iommi also spoke about the atmosphere backstage after the last show: “After the show I met up with all my friends. Geezer came, but I don’t know what happened to Ozzy. He kind of disappeared.”
