The family of Tommy Thayer , guitarist of Kiss , has grown unexpectedly, and the musician discovered a 31-year-old daughter in the midst of the pandemic.
At 60 years old, Thayer had no recognized children until the last half of 2020. A second cousin of the musician was in contact with Sierra , and paternity was proven by a DNA test. "I think she was even more impressed than I was," he told the Artists On Lockdown ( via Blabbermouth ).
“I was married for many years and never had children, so I thought that window of opportunity had passed for me,” he continued. “It’s the most incredible thing, simply a blessing. And she’s a beautiful girl – very genuine and sweet. It’s an unbelievable event in my life. It’s the biggest thing that’s happened to me in a long time, for sure.”
In early March, Thayer posted a photo alongside Sierra on social media. “I’ve been waiting for the right moment to tell everyone. My daughter Sierra and I were blessed and met last summer. We’ve spent a lot of time getting to know each other since then,” the guitarist wrote. “She’s a beautiful, genuine person and I couldn’t be happier. I think she feels the same way about me. The most wonderful thing about miracles is that they happen every now and then.”
