During his appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards , Tommy Lee commented Hulu series being produced about his relationship with Pamela Anderson in the 1990s.
Pam and Tommy is an eight-episode production starring Sebastian Stan ( Winter Soldier, The Avengers ) and Lily James (Mamma Mia 2, Cinderella ) as the drummer of Mötley Crüe and the star of Baywatch . Even before its release, the series had already caused controversy for addressing the couple's leaked sex tape. Among them was Courtney Love , who said that Lily James "should be ashamed" for accepting the role.
Tommy Lee, on the other hand, doesn't seem to be worried about the production. He admitted he hadn't seen the released photos of the actors' characterization, but he gave his approval regarding the story.
“I know Sebastian, he’s the one playing me. And from what he told me, it’s a very beautiful story. I think a lot of people might get the wrong impression, but [the plot] is about privacy and how things got out of control back then. And nowadays we have different laws. The story is really cool. What happened wasn’t cool, but he [Sebastian] told me it’s pretty wild,” commented Tommy Lee.
