This Friday, the 26th, Tomahawk released their first album in 8 years. Tonic Immobility is now available on all digital platforms. Accompanying the release was the official music video for the track “Predators And Scavengers,” which was animated, directed, and produced by Diego Cumplido .

The new album Tonic Immobility is a true child of pandemic times. According to Blabbermouth , Tomahawk guitarist and founder Duane Denison explained that the album title refers to "something we're feeling in the air" in the current state of humanity. "Many people feel somewhat powerless and stagnant, as they are unable to make a single move without questioning themselves or worrying about what it might lead to," he commented.

Jesus Lizard member went on to say that he hopes the album can be "an escape from the realities of the world," even though the central theme revolves around the pandemic. "We're not wallowing in negativity or being politicized. For me, rock has always been an alternative reality to everything else. I feel this [album] is yet another example of that," he concluded.

Regarding the new single “Predators And Scavengers”, Denison commented: “'Predators And Scavengers' started as a general observation about the current ecological climate of our planet. Perhaps it can also be applied to the socioeconomic climate?”.
