Guitarist gives interview
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, guitarist Tom Morello dismissed fans' hopes for a Rage Against The Machine reunion:
"There is no Rage Against The Machine – now, the ashes of Rage Against The Machine, the cold ashes, are the burning flames of Prophets of Rage. Rage Against The Machine lives now in the music we are playing.".
We have nothing but love, honor, and respect for Zack de la Rocha, the brilliant lyricist of Rage Against The Machine, who is now working on his own music which I'm sure will be fantastic. He's a great artist in his own right, but where you'll hear Rage Against The Machine is on Prophets of Rage.
Prophets of Rage features instrumentalists from Rage of the Time, Chuck D from Public Enemy, and B-Real from Cypress Hill. The band, which plays songs from all the groups combined, had its first show in Los Angeles last week. Check out videos of the performance .
