Morello talks about Cornell

In an interview with WRIF radio, Rage Against The Machine and Prophets of Rage guitarist Tom Morello spoke about the death of vocalist Chris Cornell, with whom he played in Audioslave. Morello said:

“I don’t think I’ll ever get over his death, but we have so many good memories. I’m glad I could… We played an Audioslave show, the first in 12 years, in January. So I was able to reconnect with him, both as a friend and as a musician and collaborator, I’m glad we had that.”.

Speaking also about the death of Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington, Morello commented: “It’s a horrible loss for the music world, but it’s also horrible because… I didn’t know Chester very well, but they were both very good people. And both deaths seemed inexplicable.”

Audioslave played a reunion show on January 20th, four months before Cornell's death. Videos of the performance can be seen here .
