Tom Morello invited Dan Reynolds , lead singer of Imagine Dragons and The Bloody Beetroots , and artist and activist Shea Diamond to collaborate on the song "Stand Up." The track was inspired by the recent protests against structural racism.

“Stand Up” is a rap rock song featuring Dan Reynolds and Shea Diamond sharing their own experiences with racial injustice in the United States. Reynolds sings about the police's willingness to protect him simply because he is white, while Diamond, a Black trans woman, expresses her hope for a world without police corruption.

All proceeds from the song will be donated to organizations that fight for equality, such as the NAACP , Know Your Rights Camp , Southern Poverty Law Center , and the Marsha P. Johnson Institute . The record label that released “Stand Up,” KIDinaKORNER/Interscope, will donate the equivalent of the song's royalties for three years.
