Tom Morello fell off the stage during a Rage Against the Machine when a security guard tried to stop a fan from invading the stage. In attempting to stop the fan, the guard knocked Morello down.
The incident took place last Saturday, the 23rd, at Scotiabank Arena, the capital of Ontario, as part of the North American Public Service Announcement , which began on July 9, 2022.
Fans in the stadium filmed the moment this fan managed to climb onto the stage during the performance of "Killing In The Name," one of Rage Against the Machine's biggest hits. A security guard acted quickly and ran towards the man in an attempt to remove him from the stage.
However, the fan fell towards the pit when Tom Morello was accidentally knocked down by security. "Stop! Stop!", vocalist Zack de la Rocha repeatedly said into the microphone, interrupting the performance. You can check out the video of the incident at the end of this article.
The guitarist finally managed to return to the stage and was greeted with applause and shouts from the crowd. “Don’t try that sh***,” de la Rocha pleaded. “We’re fine, we love you… but don’t do it.” Then, the group resumed playing “Killing In The Name” and ended the show, as the song was the last on the setlist.
