After his recent collaboration with Måneskin on "Gossip , Tom Morello revealed that he produced a song with Post Malone that could be considered the new " Beat It ."

“We worked on a really crazy jam. To me, it seemed like it could be, for him, like his 'Beat It,' you know, with Michael Jackson , a huge pop star, side-by-side with Eddie Van Halen and doing something nobody expected. 'This could be your 'Beat It,' man!' But he just doesn't finish the song. I see him every now and then and I'm like, 'You're still messing around with this.' He's like, 'Yeah, man, I'm gonna do it.' I'm like, 'Okay.' It's really crazy!”, she revealed on the Allison Hagendorf Show (via Guitar World ).

The Rage Against The Machine also gave details about the songwriting process for the unreleased track: “We went to the studio together one night. I had heard he was a rock fan, so I went there, and he’s a lovely guy. First of all, he’s just a lovely, nice person. He’s a trip.”

“You know how some people have guitar or drum techs? He had a Coors Light ! There was a guy whose only job apparently was just to make sure there was a stack of Coors Light . It took about four hours sitting around with the Coors Light nearby before we did any recording. He’s still a lovely guy.”

Tom Morello concluded the conversation by talking about Malone's love for metal and rock. "I heard that at the first concert he went to, his dad took him to see Korn . That explains, in a way, why he can play heavy music with me, but it doesn't explain why he didn't finish the damn song so the world could appreciate it."
