Tom Morello Pussy Riot group teamed up for "Weather Strike," an activist anthem accompanied by a music video directed by Ksti Hu.
“Pussy Riot is the most radical and important activist musical group of all time,” the guitarist said in a statement releasing the track. “Their courageous mix of art and confrontation is a constant inspiration, and it’s an honor to be able to join forces on this song.”
Speaking about the song, Nadya Tolokonnikova , leader of the Russian group, said: “For both Tom and me, music and politics have always gone hand in hand (…) It’s an honor to be able to collaborate with a friend like Tom. I feel strong, empowered, supported, seen and respected when I work with Tom. I feel that together we are forming part of a revolutionary army.”
