Guitarist Tom Morello was one of the attractions at the Download Festival . Young drummer Nandi Bushell was his special guest, playing during his performance John Lennon 's "Power To The People" .
The cover occurred towards the end of the musician's set, which, incidentally, included other notable songs such as "Like A Stone" by Audioslave and "Killing In The Name" by Rage Against The Machine . When it was Bushell's turn to take the stage, the band gave the prodigy the spotlight to perform a quick drum solo.

A protest action
The song chosen to close Morello's show was no accident. It was a protest against Barclays bank, which stopped sponsoring the event after a boycott by artists. In short, the company in question is involved in the sale of Israeli weapons.
As the name itself suggests, the song gives voice to the people, to the workers, and incites the power of revolution.
The guitarist commented on the sponsor's departure on his social media account, stating that he had worked on the case: "A bank that finances war crimes has no place at music festivals."
“The fact that Download listened to its musicians and severed ties with Barclays Bank is proof of the power of artists taking collective action in support of human rights. I have been pushing for this behind the scenes for some time and I applaud all the artists who have stood up to make this historic withdrawal happen.”
