After revealing the discovery of a stomach tumor in April, Tom Hunting used his bandmate Gary Holt to thank fans for their support and reveal that the treatments are showing positive results.

Exodus drummer James Hunting has stated that he has undergone four procedures so far and that the size of the tumor found in his stomach has decreased to less than half. Hunting also revealed that he will undergo a complete gastrectomy within a week, on July 12th. The drummer's stomach will be completely removed, but the good news, according to him, is that he will survive. Read the full statement:

"Hello everyone! I would like to thank everyone SO MUCH for the love and support! I see all the incredible events and things people are organizing to help me in this fight. I am overflowing with gratitude and feel so blessed to be a part of this community we share. I truly believe there are angels walking around out there and they don't even know it until things get tough and insane and they answer the call and spring into action. You are all those angels!!! You help me visualize being on the other side of this situation. FUCK CANCER!!!"

Speaking of "fuck cancer," the treatment is working. I've had 4 [procedures] and the size [of the tumor] has shrunk to less than half of what it was in March. That's incredible progress! I've regained the weight I lost at the beginning of all this. Clinically, these are all good signs. From the start, this could have gone in a very bad direction, but everything the doctors at UCSF tried went according to plan in reversing the situation. I'm so grateful to these unsung heroes!

I have surgery scheduled for next week, on July 12th. Unfortunately, it will be a complete gastrectomy, but the good news is that I will live, which is definitely NOT an overestimation. After recovering, I will have 4 more treatments and then I can continue my life cancer-free. I can't wait to travel the world, playing music, enjoying every moment of this crazy journey!! I've been in touch again and will share how things are going. THANK YOU AND MUCH LOVE TO ALL!!!
