Tobias Sammet's Avantasia announced on Wednesday, November 13th, via their official Instagram and transcribed (via Roadie Crew ) , that the acclaimed metal opera group has signed a contract with the Austrian record label Napalm Records.
The band, which initially started as just a studio project by the Edguy , reached almost unimaginable heights for heavy metal bands. With massive album productions and tours, and featuring vocalists like Andre Matos , Michael Kiske , Kai Hansen , and others, Avantasia established itself as one of the biggest bands in the genre, definitively marking its presence in the history of world metal.
Sammet commented:
“Avantasia is back, and with the biggest show we’ve ever played during this year’s festival season, we’ve already given you a taste of what’s to come. Fueled by the incredible spirit and energy of our tour, we’ve returned to the studio to channel that momentum into creating our most powerful album yet: Here Be Dragons .”

One-off show in Brazil in 2025
Here Be Dragons tour will come to Brazil on May 4, 2025, at the Bangers Open Air in São Paulo. The full festival lineup has been announced, including the German band Avantasia as Sunday's headliners.
