A woman has been formally charged with "invasive and threatening" stalking of Tobias Forge, lead singer of Ghost. The case came to light following an investigation by Swedish police.
According to the newspaper Aftonbladet [via Ghost Brasil], the accused maintained persistent contact with the musician between July and October 2025. She allegedly sent messages, registered letters, and even requests for payment. The situation escalated when the woman sent a package containing a cell phone. Tobias considered the item suspicious and decided to hand it over to the police.
According to the Ghost vocalist's account, the situation went beyond other incidents he has faced throughout his career. He described the behavior as "invasive and threatening.".
“I didn’t want to keep it at home, so I put it on the balcony before handing it over to the police. I feel quite reserved about people trying to contact me, but over the years I’ve had about a dozen stalkers. However, nobody has done anything as invasive and frankly threatening as sending a cell phone. It wouldn’t have been as good if I lived at a secret address, for example. With that phone, I reached my limit,” Tobias stated in his police testimony.
Woman claims to be engaged to Tobias Forge
The 40-year-old woman stated that she has been in a relationship with the musician for about 16 years. She even said that the two got engaged last September and that they exchange messages daily. However, she does not want to share the conversations with the police.
“Before, I used to have meet-and-greets with my fans in the form of autograph sessions and things like that, but I had to stop doing that because of some strange things that happened related to it. The caveat is that she may have been at something like that and I may have met her there, but I didn’t have any relationship with her,” Tobias confessed.
In addition to the stalking charge, the woman also faces other charges, including illegal stalking, sexual assault, and multiple assaults against two other people. Despite the seriousness of the case, Forge is not seeking compensation.
“I’ve had stalkers just as dedicated before, most of them harmless, but there’s something strange about this. I don’t want to make her life worse. I just want her to leave me alone and not hurt anyone else,” added the Ghost frontman.
