Tina Turner , considered the "queen of rock 'n' roll," died this Wednesday, the 24th, at the age of 83.
The news was given by a representative of the singer to the Sky News . In a statement, he wrote:
“Tina Turner, the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll, passed away peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness at her home in Kusnacht, near Zurich, Switzerland. With her, the world loses a music legend and a great example.”
In 2016, Tina Turner was diagnosed with bowel cancer and kidney failure. She underwent delicate surgery in 2017 and lived in a mansion in Switzerland with her husband. It has not yet been confirmed whether her history of cancer played a role in her death.
