Actor Timothée Chalamet , who will play Bob Dylan in the film A Complete Unknown , took to the stage of Saturday Night Live last Saturday, the 25th, and performed three of the singer's songs.

He sang “Outlaw Blues” from the album Bringing It All Back Home (1965). Then he played “Three Angels” from the album New Morning (1970), with a special guest appearance by James Blake on piano.

Later, Chalamet returned for an acoustic version of "Tomorrow Is A Long Time," a track originally released on the compilation album Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II (1971).

A Complete Unknown showcases Dylan's controversial transition from acoustic music to electric guitar in the 1960s.

The film is an adaptation of the book Dylan Goes Electric! (2015) by Elijah Wald , and features Dylan as an executive producer.

The production has already garnered eight Oscar nominations, including: Best Picture, Best Director for James Mangold, Best Actor for Timothée Chalamet, Best Supporting Actor for Edward Norton, Best Supporting Actress for Monica Barbaro, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Sound, and Best Costume Design. The awards ceremony will take place on March 2, 2025 at 9:00 PM.
