Tim Commerford says he doesn't know if Rage Against The Machine is over.

The musician says he is just the bassist for Rage Against The Machine and doesn't decide on the band's future.

Tim Commerford , Rolling Stone magazine said that even he doesn't know if Rage Against The Machine is over. This uncertainty has been present since the beginning of January when drummer Brad Wilk posted a statement claiming that the band would no longer play shows, following several cancellations.

Regarding Wilk's statement, the bassist said: “I don't get involved in that. I'm the bassist. I just wait for someone to tell me what to do. Brad said what he said, but he's a position above me. He's third. I'm the bottom man in the totem pole. That's all I can tell you. I'm the bassist. Bassists are always the last people to figure things out like that.”

But while Rage's future is uncertain, Tim hasn't stopped working. In the interview, he talked about his band 7D7D , and that although  they don't have plans for an album, they want to do shows with the singles they've been releasing.

The band consists of drummer Mathias Wakrat and guitarist Jonny Polonsky . The lyrics are as political as those of Rage Against the Machine. Regarding this, the bassist comments: “Politics is a big part of my life. I’m obsessed, to be honest with you.”
