Till Lindemann , vocalist of Rammstein , has released a music video for his solo single, “Lubimiy Gorod”. The song, sung entirely in Russian, was made for the film Devyatayev , which was released on April 29th.
Translated as "beloved city," the orchestral ballad driven by piano was originally performed by Mark Bernes in 1939, and the lyrics were inspired by the words of Soviet poets Yevgeniy Dolmatovsky and Nikita Bogoslovsky.
It is not yet known whether the song will be part of a studio album by the singer, or even if it will be part of a new project or of Lindemann, the duo that Till had with Peter Tagtgren until November 2020.
Earlier this month it was revealed that the film Live In Moscow will be shown in cinemas in several countries for a single night. The show was recorded on March 15, 2020 and marked the band's last live performance before the pandemic. More information here.
