The next album by the band Ghost should be called Magnum Princeps.

Ghost's two previous albums follow a certain logic.

The first album, Opus Eponymous, conveys the idea of the creator, possibly Satan himself, this creator deity, and thus has the first song Deus Culpa (God's Fault) and its last song Genesis (creation), maintaining an idea of creation as the fault of a divine being.

The second album, Infestissumam, begins with the birth of a (physical) being possessing the power of destruction (“Delenda est”), which was probably a result of the genesis mentioned earlier. The second disc ends with the song Monstrance Clock and the phrase “Come together, together as one, come together for Lucifer's son,” that is, it implies the accumulation of followers of this being with divine powers and his progress in the world as the “clock of monstrosity” marks the passage of time.

With their third album titled Magnum Princeps (The Great Leader), the band continues the logic and chronological order subtly present in their previous works, as it tells the story of the possible empire of Lucifer's son after an indeterminate amount of time has passed. Furthermore, it allows for the emergence of more albums (following the same logic) after this third one, since there is no mention of an apocalypse or an end to the timeline. Telling the story of the one who was created in the first album and born in the second would be an excellent way to continue the band's legacy, in a subtle yet memorable way.
