Three members leave The Faceless and exchange barbs.

The Faceless will announce a new lineup soon.

Michael Keene, guitarist for the American death metal band The Faceless, is now the sole remaining member of the group, which disbanded this week with the departure of three members.

Vocalist Ken Sorceron released a statement saying, “For reasons that are easy for anyone with internet access to find out, I would like to announce that I am leaving The Faceless. I will miss playing with Justin McKinney and Bryce Butler.”

Guitarist Kustin McKinney also decided to leave the band: “Being treated the way we have been over the years is just something I can’t take anymore (…) We all had high hopes of fixing the band, we worked hard and dealt with things we shouldn’t have .” Drummer Bryce Butler also left the band.

Michael Keene, guitarist and sole remaining member, posted a message about the departure of the three members, and has already made it clear on the fan page that The Faceless will not cancel any shows and that they already have new musicians. “Let me start by saying that, naturally, there are two sides to every story, and if you knew everything that happened and the betrayal and disrespect I received in the last few months, your jaw would drop. It’s a miracle I’m still standing. Second, let me say that this is honestly a fantastic thing for The Faceless. Not just for morale, but also for the music and the shows. This year’s tour cycle will have shows like you’ve never seen before. I can’t wait for you all to see them. The confirmed musicians I’m working with are absolute beasts and I’m honored to have them working with me. We’re going to have a blast. Lots of exciting announcements in the coming weeks.”

Kustin McKinney retorted to the message: “Here you go again, shifting the blame from yourself and putting it on the last 18 people who left the band. Stealing money from the band, stealing money from the fans… Telling the fans that the reason you can’t play guitar is because you’re “nervous,” and not because of your heroin addiction and the fact that you never practice (…) The money the manager sent you was used on heroin. Getting so high that you can’t even make it to your flights on time. Yes, we certainly betrayed you, man! Get your life together and take responsibility for your shitty actions.”
