Thom Yorke later talked about almost having done the soundtrack for Fight Club

Thom Yorke spoke about his new solo album. The Radiohead described it as "unlike anything" he's done before.

After the Suspiria soundtrack was released on October 26th, the next project looks like it will be "politically charged." In an interview with the newspaper El Mundo , Yorke said:

I never wanted to make political music, but everything I've done has been going in that direction. I'm trying to finish an album with Nigel ( Godrich ) and it's going in that direction. It's something that's always there.

Regarding what the new album should sound like, the singer defined it as follows: “It’s very electronic, but different from anything I’ve done so far. The method is the complete opposite of relying on computers. It’s a strange process where we make a song in the studio, then break it down and rebuild it with a live mix, which comes out totally different. And only then do we record it.”

Earlier in the week, Yorke revealed that he almost composed the soundtrack for Fight Club, but couldn't accept due to exhaustion from making OK Computer (1997), Radiohead's seminal album. “ Brad Pitt and Ed Norton called me and said I should do it. I couldn't accept. But every time I watch the film I go 'Oh….'”.
