There's No Face , a Brazilian metalcore band, released "Hamurabi," accompanied by a music video.
This is the first track from the album Contra/Senso , which doesn't yet have a release date, but is expected in the coming months of the year.
“Hamurabi” is a powerful track that begins with a great guitar riff and contrasts powerful vocals with cleaner, more direct parts.
The lyrics also touch on important topics, such as wars and conflicts around the globe, prompting reflection.
Regarding this, the band explains: “We live amidst a false moralism, where the so-called wolf hides in sheep's clothing all the time and directs its hatred, treating the suffering of others with contempt and propagating an ideal that we completely reject.”.
Historically, Hammurabi is the name of an ancient king of Sumeria, responsible for creating the "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" principle, but the song by There's No Face goes in the opposite direction.
