Therapy? releases lyric video for new single, “Wreck It Like Beckett”; watch it here

The single is part of the album Cleave, which will be released later this month

Therapy ? released a lyric video to accompany the release of their new single “Wreck It Like Beckett,” from the album Cleave , scheduled for release on September 21st by Marshall Records.

When releasing the video, vocalist and guitarist Andy Cairns explained to the website Louder that the song originated from bassist Michael McKeegan , who wrote a riff that reminded him of Public Enemy ." "I thought the riff was incredible," he said, "So we took it to the studio to tweak it a bit, and it worked."

Cairns also revealed that the composition was inspired by stories of new beginnings: “The song title is a reference to the poet Samuel Beckett who, every time he was about to start a new project, imagined himself sitting at a table and that he could run his hand across it to remove all the papers so he could start from scratch. This song is a sample of the album that serves as a new chapter for Therapy?”

While preparing for the release of their album Cleave , which is already available for pre-order , the band plans to tour Europe in October. Watch the lyric video for “Wreck It Like Beckett” below.
