Actor Nicolas Cage revealed that The Who was the first concert he ever attended. The performance took place in 1964 at Fillmore Stadium in San Francisco.

Roger Daltrey did an incredible thing where he was spinning the microphone with the cable and just hitting the cymbal. I was about 15 meters behind him and he hit the cymbal. I was so amazed, and when the show was over, I was like 'Yes!' and my cousin thought it was absurd because I was so excited I couldn't stay in my seat. But I was simply blown away by that show,” the artist said in an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (transcription via Rolling Stone ).

Nicolas Cage also mentioned that he sent a photo to Pete Townshend asking for an autograph, but didn't get a reply. "Maybe he signed it and it never came back in the mail." The presenter, in turn, said: "Pete, if you're watching, send it to me and I'll make sure he receives it."

The band's original lineup also included Keith Moon and John Entwistle .
