The Used releases explosive track featuring Jason Aalon Butler of Fever 333.

"Single" is the first sample from The Used's eighth album, which still has no release date

The Used surprised fans this Friday, the 6th, with the release of the track "Blow Me". The explosive return of the band, which had been silent for over two years, features Jason Aalon Butler from Fever 333 .

According to vocalist Bert McCracken , the single is "metaphorically about the power of words and highlighting concerns about the gun situation in society." In releasing the song, he invites fans to "find individual and personal meaning in all of our music."

Fever 333 performed with The Used in 2018, but this is the first time members of both groups have recorded together. “Honestly, I’ve been a fan of this band since the first single they put on an Atticus Clothing compilation in 2002,” says Butler. “I loved it. I studied them. Then I met the guy who produced it, John Feldmann .”

Butler also explains how this partnership came about: “A few months ago, the band and John asked me to sing on a track from the new album. They played me a few songs and, no joke, I had the feeling I heard when I first heard 'Box Full' 17 years ago. For any and every fan of The Used – they’re back. In a huge way.”

The Used signed with producer Feldmann's label, Big Noise, earlier this year and are currently in the studio finishing their eighth album, which has no release date yet. Listen to "Blow Me" below.
