The Brazilian band The Troops of Doom had their van broken into in Spain and lost passports, laptops, and personal belongings, forcing the cancellation of their scheduled performance in Dubai after their European tour.

Guitarist Jairo “Tormentor” Guedz posted a video on social media informing about what happened [transcription via Whiplash ].

“On November 24th, we arrived in a city in Spain and decided to stop at a private parking lot and go to a restaurant for lunch. When we returned, we discovered that one of the windows was broken and someone had entered the van and stolen some of our belongings, such as backpacks, laptops, medication, and three passports,” he stated.

Despite the incident, Guedz assured fans that all members are okay. They only lost equipment and belongings, and no one was injured. However, the band will not be able to proceed with the shows in Dubai, as it will not be possible to obtain new passports in time. “Once we finish our shows in Spain and Portugal and complete the European tour, there’s nowhere else to go but home. We are now working with everyone involved to postpone this Dubai date to 2026,” he concluded.

The band will continue with a show today, the 28th, in Seville, Spain, and two shows in Lisbon, on the 29th and 30th of November.
