The Town has announced Garbage headliner for the festival's inaugural edition. The band will perform on September 9th, the same night as Foo Fighters.

The band is one of the main creators of rock with a mix of genres, including industrial rock, grunge, electronic, punk, and trip-hop. Some of their biggest hits from the 1990s are "Stupid Girl," "Only Happy When It Rains," "Crush," and "I Think I'm Paranoid," among others.

The festival will take place on the 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 9th and 10th at the Interlagos racetrack and will feature Wet Leg, Alok, Ne-Yo, Bruno Mars, Post Malone, Maroon 5, Racionais MC's & Heliópolis Symphony Orchestra, Orochi, Luísa Sonza, Maria Rita, Ludmilla, Jão, Iza, Criolo, Afrocidade, MC Don Juan, MC Dricka, TETO, Tasha & Tracie, Greg Queen, Urias and Caio Luccas.

Starting at 7 PM this Tuesday, March 14th, sales will begin for what's called The Town Card, which is equivalent to a lawn ticket, without a specific date, and valid for one day of the event.

The idea is for fans to secure their attendance at the festival even before all the bands and acts are confirmed. The choice of the event day they wish to attend must be made up to 24 hours before the official sale of individual tickets, the date of which has not yet been announced. Tickets will be sold exclusively online through Ticketmaster Brazil , and registration is already open to expedite purchases starting on the 14th.

Here are the six stages that will be at the festival:

  • 'Skyline': the event's largest stage, with a design inspired by the capital's iconic buildings. Four shows are expected per day, featuring major national and international bands.
  • 'The One': inspired by the urban art of São Paulo. This space promises exclusive content through tailor-made encounters and presentations featuring established bands and emerging artists.
  • New Dance Order: dedicated to dance music, which made its debut at the last edition of Rock in Rio.
  • 'São Paulo Square' will be inspired by the region where the city was founded, set to the rhythm of jazz and blues, with artistic performances, music, dance, and colorful artwork.
  • 'Factory' will be inspired by urban culture and will feature street dance performances and shows of trap, hip hop and rap – which are among the most consumed genres in the city.
