The opening of ticket sales for The Town last Tuesday, the 14th, was a success: all available Card category tickets sold out in just over three hours, leaving almost 500,000 people without tickets for the event, according to information from the organization.
From the same creators of Rock in Rio , the music festival takes place at the Interlagos racetrack on September 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 9th, and 10th in São Paulo. Even with few names announced for the lineup, with Foo Fighters and Garbage as rock highlights, the demand for tickets was high.
According to information from the organization, one of the highlights of the sale was the number of people who were in line at the exact moment the tickets sold out. The Town's press office reported that approximately 438,000 people were ready to buy their tickets when sales ended, meaning that almost half a million people were left empty-handed in yesterday's sale.
This initial sales phase offered The Town Card tickets, equivalent to a lawn ticket, without a pre-defined date and valid for one day of the event, which will be determined by the buyer later.
For those who haven't yet purchased tickets, there's no need to despair: the official sale will take place on April 18th at 7 PM, once again through the Ticketmaster . Learn more about the attractions and stage details of the event here .
