The story of The Rolling Stones will be the subject of a new biographical series on the FX , according to The Hollywood Reporter .

The series will be overseen by Nick Hornby , author of High Fidelity , and the same producers of The Crown . The work will recount the band's early years, from the 1960s to 1972, in a scripted format, meaning it will not be a documentary – something similar to Bohemian Rhapsody , the biopic of Freddie Mercury and Queen .

There is no release date yet and the cast has not yet been announced. More details about the series should be announced soon.
