The Rolling Stones open their tour with a tribute to Charlie Watts and emotion: "This one's for you, Charlie!"

The first show of the tour without the drummer featured an emotional speech by Mick Jagger.

The Rolling Stones No Filter tour last Sunday, the 26th. Although it was the band's second show since the death of Charlie Watts on August 24th, the date marked the start of their current tour.

The band had already performed at a private event the previous week , but only now has it officially returned with the schedule of dates for the tour postponed in 2020. The band dedicated the show to the drummer, and Mick Jagger gave a speech in tribute to his colleague once again.

The band's performance began with a visual tribute dedicated to Watts, featuring photos and videos. Shortly after "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll (but I Like It)," the second song of the show, the singer paused to address the loss. 

Holding hands with Keith Richards and alongside Ron Wood , Jagger dedicated the song “Tumbling Dice” – as well as the entire show – to his friend. “I’ll tell you, it’s great to be back on a big stage. This is the first show of our tour. It was really very emotional to see those pictures of Charlie on the screen. This is the first tour we’ll do without him, so I think your reaction and the messages we heard from you were really moving. And I really wanted to thank you so much,” said Jagger with growing emotion (via Billboard ). “We missed Charlie so much on and off stage and we wanted to dedicate this tour… to Charlie. So, this one’s for you, Charlie!”
