Paul McCartney 's illustrious participation Rolling Stones album appears to have been officially confirmed.

According to Blabbermouth , a representative for the Stones reportedly sent an email to CNN revealing that McCartney is featured on the new album playing bass "on only one track."

The same source, however, denied the participation of fellow ex-Beatle Ringo Starr , stating that the track with Paul does not feature "any Ringo Starr". The next Rolling Stones album will be their first since the death of drummer Charlie Watts , who passed away in 2021, and is expected to include material he recorded before his death.

According to Variety , Paul McCartney's bass solos were recorded during sessions that took place in Los Angeles a few weeks ago. The album is being produced by Andrew Watt and is reportedly nearing the mixing stage.

Earlier this year, Keith Richards announced that new Rolling Stones music is "on the way" sometime in 2023, so we can expect new music soon.
