Keith Richards promises The Rolling Stones will release new music in 2023.

The guitarist wished fans a happy new year and expressed his desire to go on tour again.

Rolling Stones fans started 2023 with good news. Last Wednesday, the 11th, Keith Richards used his social media to announce that new music from the band should be released soon.

In a short video posted on Instagram , the guitarist wished Stones fans a happy new year and promised not only new music but also expressed his desire to continue touring.

“Hey everyone, we’re back again,” Richards says in the video. “I want to wish you all a belated Happy New Year. We have new music on the way and hopefully we’ll be able to see you. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.”

Since 2022 there have been rumors about a possible Rolling Stones tour in Brazil , and these persist to this day, but the band has not yet given any concrete indication that they will tour Latin America.

On the other hand, in March Keith Richards commented that the group was working on new music , which will likely see the light of day in 2023 according to his recent statement.

In August 2021, the Rolling Stones lost their longtime drummer, Charlie Watts , and decided to continue touring with Steve Jordan as his replacement. Watts was 80 years old, and the cause of his death has not yet been released.
