The Rolling Stones get a collectible coin in the UK.

The coin celebrates the band's 60th anniversary.

The Rolling Stones have been commemorated with a collectible coin celebrating UK artists. The Music Legends , produced by The Royal Mint, celebrates the band's 60th anniversary, marking their record-breaking sales in British music.

“We are delighted to be honored with an official UK coin. Even more significant is that the launch coincides with our 60th anniversary,” the group commented.

The custom coin design by Hannah Phizacklea depicts the band's silhouette during a performance. The stage and instrument details convey the emotion and energy of their live shows.

The director of The Royal Mint, Rebecca Morgan , spoke about the tribute: “Our Music Legends is creating a new generation of coin collectors, and we are delighted to honor the musical achievements of The Rolling Stones with this new collectible coin. We hope this provides a fitting tribute to the band's 60 years of rock and roll for their thousands of fans around the world.”

“With a list of hits that includes eight UK number 1 singles, 13 number 1 albums, and countless international successes, The Rolling Stones are UK rock legends, and we anticipate this coin will be incredibly sought after by coin collectors and music lovers alike. The coin is also one of the last to be released featuring the effigy of the late Queen Elizabeth II , marking a significant moment in history.”

The list of coins in the collection, however, doesn't end there. David Bowie , Queen , Elton John , and The Who are other musicians who have previously been honored by the British manufacturer.

The complete coin collection can be found on The Royal Mint's website .
