The Rolling Stones have cancelled a potential 2026 tour due to the health of guitarist Keith Richards , who is 82 years old. Even without an official announcement, rumors pointed to stadium shows in the UK and Europe.

The British tabloid The Sun reportedly contacted an unnamed music critic. This professional stated that Richards explained to his bandmates that he did not wish to "do a stadium tour for more than four months."
