The Rolling Stones have announced the live album GRRR Live! from the memorable concert that featured guests such as Lady Gaga and Bruce Springsteen . The expected release date is February 10th. The concert, part of the 50 and Counting , took place in December 2012 in Newark, New Jersey, at the Prudential Center.

Lady Gaga joined vocalist Mick Jagger to sing “Gimme Shelter.” Bruce Springsteen performed “Tumbling Dice.” However, the list of surprise appearances didn't stop there. The Black Keys , in turn, played a cover of Bo Diddley 's “Who Do You Love,” while John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr. were present for “Going Down.” Former guitarist Mick Taylor also took the stage for “Midnight Rambler.”

The show had already been broadcast at the time via the pay-per-view The Rolling Stones: One More Shot . The new version will be available as a double CD and triple vinyl album, in addition to Blu-Ray and DVD.

GRRR Live! is the band's second live album, following the album of secret shows recorded in Toronto, El Mocambo 1977 (2021).

In August 2021, the Rolling Stones lost drummer Charlie Watts , who passed away at the age of 80. The last album released with Watts was Blue and Lonesome (2016). Since then, the band has been finalizing their next album, which features the drummer's last recordings. According to information obtained by The Sun , an anonymous source close to the artists said: “After Charlie’s death, there was some uncertainty about what to do next. They had stadium dates scheduled, so they went ahead. But it wasn’t clear what the future held. Now they’ve had time to reflect, and everyone feels it’s the right thing to do to continue doing what they’ve always done as a band: make new music and hopefully get back on the road to play for their fans.”
