The Pretty Reckless have announced that they will be releasing an album of covers and acoustic versions titled Other Worlds . It will be released on November 4th via Fearless Records.

In a statement released to the press, vocalist Taylor Momsen commented on how the idea for the release came about: “For a long time, we’ve been trying to figure out an alternative way to release music, including songs we love that didn’t make it onto our albums, covers, and alternate versions. We found a way to do this coherently and consistently with Other Worlds .”

“We’re a rock band, so there are a lot of electric guitars on our records. However, we’ve received incredible feedback from fans about our acoustic performances, and we’ve never released them in any real format. So, this is a different take on the traditional record format and a stripped-down version of us that our fans haven’t really heard before, but it’s still us.”

Guitarist Ben Phillips added: “You can hear a different side of Taylor’s vocals. It was a chance for us to see how she would sound singing songs by people who have inspired us. It also gave us a perspective on where we need to go and what we need to be if we want to be that good.”

Some of the songs on Other Worlds – you can check out the full tracklist at the end of this article – are “(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love And Understanding” by Elvis Costello , “Halfway There” by Soundgarden , “The Keeper”, originally by Chris Cornell , and “Quicksand” by The Thin White Duke.

To celebrate the announcement, the group released a new version of “Get So High”, from the album Death by Rock and Roll (2021), and made the album cover available.
