Australian instrumental rock band The Omnific has released the single “Base Camp” and announced the album The Law Of Augmenting Returns , which will be released on June 7th by Wild Thing Records.

The single, like the rest of the group's work, is bass-driven, creating a heavy atmosphere. The track has a music video which you can watch below.

Speaking about the song, bassist Matt Fack explains in a statement released to the press: “In what could be described as the song of a new era of musical possibilities coming from us, 'Base Camp' takes you on a journey to the top of the mountain and back.”

Regarding the album, he explained: “ The Law Of Augmenting Returns is the culmination of the experience and knowledge learned and incorporated during our 8 years as a band. With our creative mindset to incorporate new ideas while adhering to the fundamental principle of the bass, this album paints the story of the band's past, present, and future.”

Besides Fack, the group consists of bassist Toby Peterson-Stewart and drummer Jerome Lematua.
