The instrumental rock band The Omnific has released the single “Matrices”. The track is part of their second album, The Law Of Augmenting Returns , which will be released on June 7th via Wild Thing Records. The group had previously released the single “Base Camp”.

“Matrices” is a mix of rock, hip-hop, and pop, and it has a music video that you can watch at the end of this article. Speaking about the track, bassist Toby Peterson-Stewart commented in a statement released to the press: “This is one of the hardest songs to play for all of us, respectively, it’s a great example of a song that makes us all better musicians when we play it. Plus, very djent.”

Regarding the album, bassist Matt Fack explained: “ The Law Of Augmenting Returns is the culmination of the experience and knowledge gained and incorporated over the eight years of our existence as a band. With our creative mindset to incorporate new ideas while adhering to the fundamental principle of the bass, this album paints the story of the band's past, present, and future.”

Besides Toby and Matt, the group also includes drummer Jerome Lematua.
