The Offspring

The Offspring are considering releasing two new studio albums.

The Offspring's new songs seem "a little too different" for just one album.

Californian rockers The Offspring continue working on their highly anticipated tenth album. Guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman spoke with Junkee about the possibilities of the new work.

“We’re spending some time in the studio with producer Bob Rock , who worked on the last two albums. He’s great – we get along really well. We have a bunch of songs that we’re getting ready to record.”

He added: “I think there’s an album there, but we’re thinking the songs are a little too different. We know there’s always one or two songs on each record that come out different. But it’s more than two this time. Now, we’re thinking about the possibility of doing two albums. One where we would put all these songs. Another one just with songs in the Offspring style.”

Noodles went on to describe the different tracks as "crazier stuff." "It's always fun to experiment in the studio. Sometimes we try a piano or keyboard sound. We have a track that has several trumpets. We've been working on it for a while. We really love that song."

The musician also confirmed that the band is currently without a record label. They are exploring different ways to make their music available to the public. “We’re talking to different record labels and distributors, but nothing concrete yet,” he said. “We don’t know how we’re going to do it. At this point, the way things are distributed, we think we can do it ourselves.”

The Offspring released a new song called “It Won't Get Better” live. Watch the video below:
