The Offspring guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman confirmed in an interview that the new album is finished. The successor to Days Go By was produced by Bob Rock .
“The art needs to be made and we already have a track listing,” he said. “We’ve even made more songs. We just need a distribution deal, which we intend to have by the end of this year. Then we can release it at the beginning of next year.”.
Previously, Noodles had spoken about the possibility of releasing two albums instead of one.
“I think there’s an album there, but we’re thinking the songs are a little too different. We know there’s always one or two songs on each album that come out different. But it’s more than two this time. Now, we’re considering the possibility of making two albums. One where we would put all these songs. Another one just with songs in the Offspring style.”
Noodles went on to describe the different tracks as "crazier stuff." "It's always fun to experiment in the studio. Sometimes we try a piano or keyboard sound. We have a track that has several trumpets. We've been working on it for a while. We really love that song."
