Nevermore lineup is complete, according to guitarist Jeff Loomis and drummer Van Williams . The names of the vocalist and bassist, chosen after auditions held by the band, will be revealed soon. A second guitarist, previously selected, will also be part of the band.
The group released the following message on their social media [via Blabbermouth ]: “The wait is over! We are thrilled to announce that, after an incredible audition process, we have assembled a lineup that honors our legacy while forging a new path.”
In the statement, they also said that the level of testing “was truly inspiring” and thanked everyone “who put their heart into the process,” adding that “the support and patience during this time meant the world to us.”
According to Loomis and Walker, fans should "stay tuned" because "there's a lot coming their way soon." The musicians also commented that they are preparing for "the next chapter of Nevermore" and promise that the wait will be worth it.
The reunion had been speculated about since 2024. The new lineup will not include bassist Jim Sheppard – who was not consulted about Nevermore's return – as he refused to rejoin the group. Vocalist Warrel Dane passed away in 2017 at the age of 56 due to a heart attack while in São Paulo working on his second solo album , which was later released posthumously.
