The Most Starry Sky

"The keyboards of master Jon Lord have always been part of this style that has so greatly changed my life."

By Rafael Masini

I just wanted to put this on record on the same day it happened. I know many will talk about it, and I myself will write more about it. But I wanted to record my sadness today.

When I was born in '71, Deep Purple was recording their fourth album, 'Fireball'. Rock and Metal have influenced my whole life. They helped me overcome difficult times and were the soundtrack to great celebrations.

And despite my passion for great guitar solos, distorted strumming, and magical riffs emanating from that six-string instrument, the keyboards of master Jon Lord have always been a part of this style that has so greatly changed my life.

May heaven welcome yet another great musician. Many are already there and will keep company with the powerful and heavy melodies he always played so well.

Have a good trip, Lord.
