10. June 23: Disturbed returns from its 4-year hiatus

November 6th: Release of Viper's DVD featuring Andre Matos singing the first two albums in their entirety.

08. September 18th: Rock In Rio celebrates its 30th anniversary with shows by Halestorm, Korn, Lamb Of God, Mastodon, Metallica, Ministry, Mötley Crüe, Nightwish, Slipknot, etc.

November 7th - 11th: Phil Taylor, former drummer of Motörhead, passes away.

06. May 19th: Release of Faith No More's new album after 18 years.

April 25th: New edition of Monsters of Rock in São Paulo with Accept, Judas Priest, Kiss, Manowar, Motörhead, Ozzy Osbourne, Unisonic, Yngwie Malmsteen, etc.

April 2nd: Megadeth announces Kiko Loureiro as their new guitarist.

September 3-4: Iron Maiden releases "The Book Of Souls," their first double studio album, which debuts at #1 in many countries.

September 2-4: Black Sabbath announces their final tour, “The End”.

May 15th: Bruce Dickinson announces he is cancer-free.
