The girls from The Mönic have some news: it's the band's new music video, "Andy & I," the last video to be released from The Mönic's debut album, Deus Picio , from 2019, released via Deck .

In addition to closing the cycle of releases that make up the band's first album, the music video also symbolizes the farewell of drummer Daniely Simões , who has just left the band. Currently, the band is looking for a replacement drummer to accompany them on their next album, scheduled for release this year or next.

“The original idea for the music video was to use symbolism to tell our story in music, from BBGG, our first band, to the formation of The Mönic with Daniely's arrival,” says guitarist and vocalist Dani Buarque about the new video, entirely created by the artists. “Those who have followed us since then might notice some similarities, through symbols, with BBGG's videos. In the first script, the final scene was going to be a single take of a party full of friends where we were going to play on a rooftop in São Paulo, but unfortunately we shot the first part of the video a week before the start of the lockdown and the party scene had to be suspended. We spent 5 months with the plans frozen waiting for everything to pass until we realized it wouldn't pass anytime soon and we decided to adapt the idea.”
