The bands The Mönic and Disaster Cities will perform in São Paulo next Saturday, the 2nd, at the underground venue La Iglesia. The lineup will also feature special guests such as Carol Navarro (Supercombo) and the quartet The Zasters , presenting the song they recorded in partnership with The Mönic, " Bittersweet ".
The performance will be The Mönic's first in two years and will also mark the first time the group plays with drummer Thiago Coiote , who joined the band in 2021, having previously only performed online. The band is currently focused on the pre-production phase of their new album, to be released by Deckdisc, and has no plans to play any more shows in the first half of the year.
Meanwhile, Disaster Cities already had a taste of the return of live shows when they performed in December at Cine Joia in São Paulo, alongside Far From Alaska and Scalene . The setlist for this performance will include songs from their debut album Lowa (2018) as well as new tracks from their upcoming album Erasing Karma, scheduled for release in the second half of the year.
