The Mist releases new single “The Curse of Life” and continues the tradition of Minas Gerais metal.

New album 'The Dark Side of the Soul (An Anatomy of the Soul)' will be released in November.

The Mist released their new single “The Curse of Life” this Wednesday, the 22nd. The song opens the repertoire of their new album, The Dark Side of the Soul (An Anatomy of the Soul) , which will be released worldwide in November by Alma Mater Records .

Regarding the new release, Vladimir Korg commented:

“The narrative sounds like a dialogue between ghosts warning us that we are not special and that at any moment we can be victims of chance. The message is simple and sets the tone of the album: 'Everyone dies!'. And the theme is clear: 'Life goes by fast and, when you realize it, you'll already be seriously screwed'. That's why a constant voice runs throughout the track, shouting: wake up, because in the end, time will be dancing on our graves.”

Currently formed by Vladimir Korg (vocals), Edu Megale (guitar), Wesley Ribeiro (bass), and Lina Linassi (drums), the Minas Gerais-based thrash metal band follows the tradition of their previous conceptual works, such as the classic "The Hangman Tree," but with an even more visceral approach. "The Dark Side of the Soul" leaves no doubt about the essence of the work: fast, epic thrash metal in its purest form.
