One of the world's icons of gothic rock, synthwave and post-punk, the legendary British band The Mission , formed in 1986 by Wayne Hussey (vocals) and Craig Adams (bass) after leaving The Sisters Of Mercy , will return to Brazil with an event organized by the production company Dark Dimensions and AGP Entretenimento.
The group will perform on October 11th in Rio de Janeiro, October 12th in Santo André, October 13th in São Paulo, and October 15th in Curitiba. More details can be found at the end of this article.
The American band Christian Death will be the featured act for the Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Curitiba dates. Composed of Valor Kand (vocals/guitar), Maitri Nicolai (bass), Mathew Anderson (guitar), and Steve Kilroy (drums), they are promoting their latest album, Evil Becomes Rules .
On this South American leg of their current tour, dubbed D-Tour 24 , the English band The Mission will continue what they presented on their previous tour as a kind of Best Of from their long and successful career, which was part of the British gothic movement alongside bands such as The Sisters of Mercy, Joy Division , Siouxsie and the Banshees , The Cure , among others.
Obviously, there will be no shortage of timeless dark rock classics, such as " Beyond The Pale " , " Deliverance " , " Tower Of Strength " , " Serpent's Kiss " , " Garden Of Delight " , and the big hits " Severina " , " Butterfly On A Wheel " and " Wasteland " .
In addition to Wayne and Craig, already mentioned, The Mission consists of musicians Simon Hinkler (guitar) and Alex Baum (drums), the same lineup that came to Brazil in 2022 with unforgettable performances.
