The band The Hollywood Vampires cancelled a show in Hungary last Tuesday, the 18th, after actor and guitarist Johnny Depp fainted in a hotel room. This information comes from the local website The Daily News Hungary .

Initially, the audience received little information about the reason for the cancellation, which occurred after the gates opened, with the arena already full of fans. An announcement was made over the venue's loudspeakers, and the band cited "unforeseen circumstances" for the sudden cancellation. According to new information obtained by The Daily News Hungary , the performance was cancelled after Depp fainted and required medical attention at the hotel where he was staying.

“Everything was ready, the stage was set up, the backstage crew was ready for the party. It didn’t even cross my mind that there could be a problem, especially since the band members had done the soundcheck that was scheduled for the afternoon. Nobody thought much about the fact that Johnny Depp didn’t participate; his microphone was set up by a member of the crew, but that’s not uncommon for stars of that caliber. (…) All we heard was that Depp was very agitated; he couldn’t even leave the hotel. We also heard that they called a doctor to check if there was anything else wrong with him besides the rockstar excesses,” an assistant told the website Blikk .

This wasn't the only show canceled by The Hollywood Vampires last week. Their next performance, scheduled for July 20th in Slovakia, was also canceled on the day of the show, this time allegedly due to structural issues at the venue. "This cancellation is not related to the recent cancellation in Budapest, but we can assure everyone that the band members are safe and healthy," the band stated in an official note .

Hollywood Vampires – of which they are also members – posted on their website that the concert did not take place due to "unforeseen circumstances." The group also stated that the cancellation in Slovakia occurred because the venue where the show was to be held was not safe for the band and the audience.

The band, consisting of Depp, Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen, is scheduled to perform on July 28, 29, and 30 in the United States.
