The victim, who had diabetes, had not traveled outside the country recently, according to reports from the Mexico Daily News . Furthermore, at the time of the Ghost concert on March 3rd, Mexico already had five confirmed cases of the coronavirus.
Another major band that was criticized for maintaining the show during this situation was Guns N' Roses Vive Latino festival . However, festival organizers defended the decision, clarifying that authorities stated it was not necessary to suspend large events, given that the country was still in "phase 1" of the pandemic.
